Diseño y elaboración de un programa en EFE : el caso de la asignatura español de negocios en lenguas extranjeras aplicadas (LEA)
Abstract
The training of the B.A. in Applied Foreign Languages (LEA or Langue Étrangères Appliquées in
French) at the University Paris Nanterre has two characteristics: it is multilingual and professionally
oriented. In this paper we will study the curriculum design of the subject Spanish for business taught in
2nd and in 3rd year. This qualitative study presents the reflection of the teachers. It emphasizes, among
other things, that this training has the goal to develop not only linguistic competencies but also
professional ones, which goes beyond the mere framework of language teaching. Even if the teacher is
aware of the difficulties linked to the world of business, his/her knowledge of the professional context is
not total and requires further research. We have summarized the different stages of our pedagogical work
indicating the teaching method adopted, the goals in terms of linguistic and professional competencies
and also the joint assessment, adapted to the B.A. and to the demands of the job market.
