Qué competencias hay que desarrollar en las carreras de lenguas extranjeras aplicadas
Abstract
The polysemous term proficiencies, using resources to confront complex analogous situations, is used due to the profound changes in the labor market through globalization, profound changes related to new means of production and the appearance of complex technological settings. This article uses professional data from graduates to illustrate which professional and linguistic proficiencies should be developed in Applied Foreign Language degrees. After contextualizing the teaching of Spanish for professional use in such degrees, it will be proposed a series of professional proficiencies, such as coordinating projects, creating communication diagnostics, public speaking, and linguistic proficiencies, such as extracting pertinent information from texts in order to offer solutions to a problem, interpreting and synthesizing data, from linguistic corpus (specialized or popular texts) which are carried out with different pedagogical techniques (case studies, projects or simulations).
